APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the Department of Transportation and Development in the matter of "Donna Slate,
et al v. Mattues Manual, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-2
2014 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the Department of3
Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Donna Slate, et al v. Mattues4
Manual, et al"; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The sum of Ten Thousand and No/100 ($10,000.00) Dollars is hereby7
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 to8
be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Donna Slate, et al v. Mattues9
Manual, et al", bearing Number C-2010-040 on the docket of the Thirty-Third Judicial10
District Court, parish of Allen, state of Louisiana.11
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2013; if vetoed by the governor12
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,13
2013, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 14 HLS 13RS-867 ORIGINAL
