Abstract: Requires all overhead power lines, their wattage, and owner to be illustrated or
identified on plans for public works projects.  Provides that a contractor shall not be
liable to any damage caused should this not be done unless that damage was caused by
the gross negligence of the contractor.  
Proposed law requires the public entity or design professional on the plans for any public works
project, to locate and illustrate all overhead power lines and indicate the wattage and identify the
owner of each and all such lines.  
Proposed law provides that if the public entity or design professional of record fails to locate and
illustrate all overhead power lines and indicate the wattage thereof and identify the owner of each
and all such lines.  Specifies that the contractor shall be released from any liability in connection
with their damage unless such damage is caused by the negligence of the contractor.
