APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the Department of Natural Resources in the matter of "State of Louisiana ex rel
Plaquemines Parish School Board v. Department of Natural Resources"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-2
2014 to be used to pay the judgment regarding royalties in the suit entitled "State of3
Louisiana ex rel Plaquemines Parish School Board v. Louisiana Department of4
Natural Resources" and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The sum of Three Million Nine Hundred Seventy-Four Thousand One7
Hundred Twenty-Seven and 44/100 ($3,974,127.44) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of8
the General Fund of the state of Louisiana to the Department of Natural Resources for Fiscal9
Year 2013-2014 to be used to pay the judgment regarding royalties in the suit entitled "State10
of Louisiana ex rel Plaquemines Parish School Board v. Louisiana Department of Natural11
Resources", bearing Number 57-419, Division "A", on the docket of the Twenty-Fifth12
Judicial District Court, parish of Plaquemines, state of Louisiana.13
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2013; if vetoed by the governor14
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,15
2013, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 16 HLS 13RS-961 ORIGINAL
