ACT No. 328 Regular Session, 2013 HOUSE BILL NO. 657 BY REPRESENTATIVES ABRAMSON, BARROW, BERTHELOT, WESLEY BISHOP, BROSSETT, BROWN, BURRELL, HONORE, ORTEGO, AND WI LLMOTT AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 33:4778, relative to the New Orleans Department of Safety and Permits; to2 require that the department make certain information available to the public on the3 Internet; to provide requirements for making such information available, including4 deadlines; to provide relative to appeal delays for certain decisions; and to provide5 for related matters.6 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published7 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of8 Louisiana.9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:10 Section 1. R.S. 33:4778 is hereby enacted to read as follows:11 ยง4778. New Orleans Department of Safety and Permits; availability of information12 A. The New Orleans Department of Safety and Permits, including the Board13 of Building Standards and Appeals and any other board within the department, shall14 make available to the public on the Internet all information pertaining to the15 regulatory activities of the department, including but not limited to information about16 all applications received; inspections made; tests and examinations given or to be17 given; zoning verifications; licenses, permits, certifications, or other credentials and18 renewals thereof issued, denied or refused, revoked, suspended, or cancelled; notices19 issued; enforcement actions taken or to be taken; determinations made or to be20 made; and demolitions proposed or considered, authorized, denied or refused, and21 action taken.22 B.
