Requests that the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education reconsider its decision
to close Benjamin E. Mays Preparatory School. Further requests that the Orleans Parish
School Board and the Recovery School District study jointly the feasibility of working
collaboratively to provide education services to the students of this school in the Desire
community and submit jointly a written report of findings to the House Committee on
Education by July 15, 2013.
