SPECIAL DAY/WEEK/MONTH: Recognizes April 11, 2013, as Northern and Central
Louisiana Interfaith, Alexandria Cluster Day in Louisiana
A RESOLUTION1
To recognize April 11, 2013, as Northern and Central Louisiana Interfaith, Alexandria2
Cluster Day in Louisiana.3
WHEREAS, the leaders of North and Central Louisiana have come together in4
Baton Rouge on the eleventh day of April, 2013; and5
WHEREAS, Northern and Central Louisiana Interfaith is a nonprofit, multifaith,6
multiracial, multicultural organization made up of local religious congregations and other7
institutions from a broad cross section of Northern and Central Louisiana; and8
WHEREAS, the leaders of Interfaith seek to identify needs within the community9
and work together to address those needs across lines of race, religion, culture,10
socioeconomic standing, and geography; and11
WHEREAS, as a nonpartisan political organization, Interfaith is funded by dues12
pledged by member institutions, grants from various faith-based and philanthropic13
organizations, corporate donations, and fundraisers; and14
WHEREAS, Interfaith works by addressing issues that arise for the families and15
individuals who are a part of its member institutions; and16
WHEREAS, Interfaith practices the art of true citizenship and participatory17
government.18
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the19
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby recognize April 11, 2013, as Northern and Central20
Louisiana Interfaith, Alexandria Cluster Day in Louisiana.21 HLS 13RS-1268 ORIGINAL

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted1
to the organizer of the Northern and Central Louisiana Interfaith, Alexandria Cluster.2
