HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 20
BY REPRESENTATIVE DIXON
A RESOLUTION
To recognize April 11, 2013, as Northern and Central Louisiana Interfaith, Alexandria
Cluster Day in Louisiana.
WHEREAS, the leaders of North and Central Louisiana have come together in
Baton Rouge on the eleventh day of April 2013; and
WHEREAS, Northern and Central Louisiana Interfaith is a nonprofit, multifaith,
multiracial, multicultural organization made up of local religious congregations and other
institutions from a broad cross section of Northern and Central Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, the leaders of Interfaith seek to identify needs within the community
and work together to address those needs across lines of race, religion, culture,
socioeconomic standing, and geography; and
WHEREAS, as a nonpartisan political organization, Interfaith is funded by dues
pledged by member institutions, grants from various faith-based and philanthropic
organizations, corporate donations, and fundraisers; and
WHEREAS, Interfaith works by addressing issues that arise for the families and
individuals who are a part of its member institutions; and
WHEREAS, Interfaith practices the art of true citizenship and participatory
government.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby recognize April 11, 2013, as Northern and Central
Louisiana Interfaith, Alexandria Cluster Day in Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the organizer of the Northern and Central Louisiana Interfaith, Alexandria Cluster.
