HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 92
BY REPRESENTATIVE COX
A RESOLUTION
To commend the Northwestern State University Lady Demons upon winning the 2013
Southland Conference women's tennis championship.
WHEREAS, the Northwestern State University Lady Demons entered the 2013
Southland Conference women's tennis championship as the fourth seeded team and a record
of 14-7; and
WHEREAS, Lady Demons player Andrea Nedorostova provided the clinching
singles victory as the Lady Demons clinched the overall championship, winning by a score
of 4-1 against the first and second seeded teams; and
WHEREAS, Tatiana Larina and Andrea Nedorostova won the number one doubles
match with a score of 8-3; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Nedorostova serves as the team's captain and only senior, and she
has demonstrated exceptional leadership on and off the court; and
WHEREAS, the team consists of nine girls who work hard not only in their tennis
careers but in the classroom as well, which is evident in the team's cumulative grade point
average of 3.606; and
WHEREAS, this 2013 championship title is Head Coach Patric DuBois's second
Southland Conference Tournament title; the title is also the second conference tournament
title for Assistant Coach Olga Bazhanova and Captain Andrea Nedorostova; and
WHEREAS, this is now the sixth straight winning season for the Lady Demons, and
provides Coach DuBois with a record of 181-81 at Northwestern State University; these
notable accomplishments demonstrate the devotion and commitment that the coaches and
players of the women's tennis team have to the game of tennis. ENROLLEDHR NO. 92

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Northwestern State University Lady
Demons for winning the 2013 Southland Conference women's tennis championship.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Head Coach Patric DuBois.
