The original instrument and the following digest, which constitutes no part of the legislative instrument, were prepared by Yolanda J. Dixon. DIGEST Present law requires gubernatorial appointees to the board of directors of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation, prior to confirmation by the Senate, to disclose to the Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee the names of all business or professional clients with which the appointee or any corporation in which the appointee owns a controlling interest maintains a business or professional relationship at the time of appointment. Provides that the obligation to disclose is a continuing obligation of all members including those serving on and after January 1, 2011. Present law specifies the manner in which the disclosure shall be made. Proposed law retains present law but specifies that the disclosure prior to confirmation be made in writing to the Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee and provides that disclosures subsequent to confirmation be made in writing to the legislative auditor. Requires the legislative auditor to report his findings to the Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee and to the governor. Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action. (Amends R.S. 47:9004(B)(4))
