Prefiled pursuant to Article III, Section 2(A)(4)(b)(i) of the Constitution of Louisiana.
FISH/FISHING. Prohibits the sale, possession, or importation of red snapper in the state or
in the waters of the state.  (8/1/13)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 56:327.2, relative to the sale, possession, or importation of red snapper; to2
provide certain terms, conditions, requirements, and prohibitions; to provide3
penalties for violations; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 56:327.2 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
ยง327.2. Sale, exchange, possession, or importation of red snapper prohibited7
No person shall purchase, sell, exchange, or offer for sale or exchange,8
or possess or import with intent to sell or exchange red snapper within the state9
or state waters. Violation of the provisions of this Section shall constitute a class10

Proposed law prohibits the sale, exchange, or offer for sale or exchange, or possession or
importation of red snapper with intent to sell within the state water boundaries. Further
provides that a violation of proposed law is a class 5-B violation.
