DIGEST
Proposed law provides that notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, if the payment
for services of an employee of the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) for a detail or
secondary employment is administered or managed by the city of New Orleans or the NOPD, the
total amount of such payment received by the employee shall be included in any and all benefits
which accrue to or is earned by or on behalf of such employee.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
