MUNICIPALITIES.  Provides for legislation relative to the governing authority of East
Baton Rouge Parish's public bid process. (gov sig)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 38:2212(A)(1)(b)(ii)(cc), relative to the public bid process; to provide for2
bidding on public work projects let by East Baton Rouge Parish; to provide for3
implementation of certain rules; to provide for inclusion of certain documents; and4
to provide for related matters.5
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1.  R.S. 38:2212(A)(1)(b)(ii)(cc) is hereby enacted to read as follows:8
§2212. Advertisement and letting to lowest responsible bidder; public work;9
electronic bidding; participation in mentor-protégé program;10

(cc) Notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary, the13
governing authority of East Baton Rouge Parish shall require all bidders to14
submit all bid forms in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act and15
all other documentation and information that are required but not limited to16
the attestation clause pursuant to R.S. 38:2212.10 and 2227 prior to the opening17 SB NO. 236

of all bids relative to contracts for public work.1

Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not3
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature4
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If5
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become6
effective on the day following such approval.7
