Cortez (SB 252) Act No. 230
Prior law provided for the annual license fees required of certain persons by the La. State
Racing Commission. Prior law also provided for a three-year license for owners, trainers,
jockeys, jockey agents, exercise persons, veterinarians, and colors registration.
New law retains prior law but authorizes renewal of the annual license fee for up to a
three-year period which expires June thirtieth of the third year in place of the three-year
license.
Effective July 1, 2013.
