Brown (SB 33) Act No. 209 Prior law provided for a division of minority affairs within the Dept. of Insurance with duties to include assisting in the coordination of activities of the department's Advisory Committee on Equal Opportunity. New law authorizes the division to conduct a survey of insurers' hiring and contracting policies and practices in relation to minorities. Requires that the survey, data, and responses are not a public record as defined in the Public Records Law and are exempt from disclosure except with respect to the aggregated number of minorities hired and the positions for which minorities are hired. Effective August 1, 2013. (Amends R.S. 22:31 and R.S. 44:4.1(B)(11))
