DIGEST
Present law provides the general smoking prohibitions and exemptions.
Proposed law provides an additional prohibition to include no smoking on the grounds of or
inside the facilities or buildings utilized by institutions managed and supervised by the Board of
Supervisors of Community and Technical Colleges, the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State
University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, the Board of Supervisors of Southern
University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, or the Board of Supervisors for the
University of Louisiana System.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
