Provides relative to the crime of manufacture and possession of a bomb. (gov sig) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 14:54.3(A), relative to the crime of manufacture and possession2 of a bomb; to provide relative to the definition of manufacture and possession of a3 bomb; to provide relative to licensing and regulation of explosives; and to provide4 for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 14:54.3(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 7 ยง54.3. Manufacture and possession of a bomb8 A. It shall be unlawful for any person without proper license as required by9 R.S. 40:1471.1 et seq. R.S. 40:1472.1 et seq., knowingly and intentionally to10 manufacture, possess, or have under his control any bomb.11 * * *12 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not13 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature14 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. Clement, Jr. DIGEST Present law provides that it is unlawful for any person, without proper license as required by present law relative to the regulation of explosives, to knowingly and intentionally manufacture, possess, or have under his control any bomb. Proposed law changes the present law reference to present law relative to the licensing and regulation of explosives to conform to present law numbering system. Proposed law otherwise retains present law. Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action. (Amends R.S. 14:54.3(A))
