Erdey (SB 53) Act No. 21
Prior law required title insurance producers to complete six hours of approved instruction
prior to license renewal.
New law requires, with renewals effective in 2015, 12 hours of approved instruction or
verifiable approved self-study prior to license renewal with at least two hours dedicated to
matters related to state and federal consumer finance protection laws.
Effective August 1, 2013.
