AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 40:4.13, relative to the Sanitary Code; to provide exceptions to the Sanitary2 Code; to allow a not-for-profit entity or charitable organization to receive or use3 certain meats or fish for food or meal distribution at no cost to an individual; and to4 provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 40:4.13 is hereby enacted to read as follows:7 ยง4.13. Not-for-profit entity or charitable organization; receive or use certain8 meats or fish in food or meal distribution9 Notwithstanding any provisions of the state Sanitary Code or any other10 law or regulation to the contrary, it shall be lawful for a not-for-profit entity or11 a charitable organization to receive or use any commercial or game fish,12 migratory or resident game bird, game quadruped, as defined in R.S. 56:8,13 alligator, or feral hog in food or meal distribution at no cost to an individual.14 ACT No. 371 SB NO. 58 ENROLLED Page 2 of 2 Coding: Words which are struck through are deletions from existing law; words in boldface type and underscored are additions. Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not1 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature2 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.
