Proposed law provides that individuals who purchase fishing and hunting licenses have the
option of making a donation to Hunters for the Hungry at the time of purchase of the license and
upon the form prescribed by the secretary. 
Proposed law establishes the Hunters for the Hungry Account within the Conservation Fund and
provides that all donations be deposited in the account.
Proposed law provides that every three months the treasurer must remit the balance of the
account to the nonprofit entity.  Further provides that upon the request by a director of Hunters
for the Hungry, the foundation shall remit to Hunters for the Hungry the amount of money
requested. 
Proposed law provides that no more than five percent of the monies in the account may be used
for administrative costs and the remaining ninety-five percent must be used solely by Hunters for
the Hungry for the processing and delivery of meats by not-for-profit or charitable organizations.
Proposed law provides that all monies used in the account will be subject to oversight by the
legislative auditor.
Proposed law provides that at the end of each calendar year, the nonprofit entity and Hunters for
the Hungry must each submit to the House Natural Resources and Environment Committee and
the Senate Committee on Natural Resources a report detailing the revenue and expenditures of
the account and a description of the organization's activities related to the account.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
