SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 33
BY SENATOR PEACOCK AND REPRESENTATI VE SEABAUGH 
COMMENDATIONS.  Commends Ceara Johnson upon being named the Caddo Public
Schools 2013 Elementary School Student of the Year and recognizes her extraordinary
accomplishments.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To commend Ceara Johnson upon being named the Caddo Public Schools 2013 Elementary2
School Student of the Year and to recognize her extraordinary accomplishments.3
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the Legislature of Louisiana recognizes the4
academics, leadership skills, and character of Ceara Johnson and her service to her school5
and community; and6
WHEREAS, as a straight-A student, she demonstrates her dedication to academic7
achievement and displays an unwavering commitment to do her best at all times; and8
WHEREAS, Ceara Johnson is a published writer whose prose was featured by the9
Duke University Talent Identification Program, where she was named a Star Student; and10
WHEREAS, in addition to her academic success, she dances with the River Cities11
Dance Foundation and has performed in the Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker and12
in The Wizard of Oz with a New York touring company; and13
WHEREAS, the musical talents of Ceara Johnson are evident in her activities as a14
member of the South Highlands Choir and her church choir, in which she sings and plays15
acoustic guitar; and16
WHEREAS, she is the daughter of Kevin and Roishene Johnson, who should be17
recognized along with her teachers and school for inspiring her to set and achieve18 SCR NO. 33

extraordinary goals, without a doubt meriting receipt of the Caddo Public Schools 20131
Elementary School Student of the Year award.2
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby3
commend Ceara Johnson upon being named the Caddo Public Schools 2013 Elementary4
School Student of the Year, does hereby wish Ms. Johnson full measures of success and5
happiness in her years to come, and hereby hope that she serves as an example to other6
students who have our state's future in their hands and serve as a promise to the next7
generation.8
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Ceara9
Johnson of Caddo Parish.10
