SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 90

COMMENDATIONS. Commends the St. Thomas Acquinas Regional Catholic High School
boys basketball team on being the LHSAA Class 2A State Runner-Up.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To commend the St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School boys basketball team2
upon being the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 2A State3
Runner-up.4
WHEREAS, the St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School boys basketball5
team completed a sensational season, earning the title of 2A State Runner-up at the LHSAA6
basketball championship in March 2013; and7
WHEREAS, the team won the runner-up title in addition to being undefeated district8
champions, having a district record of 14-0; and9
WHEREAS, the team finished with an overall record of 27-6; and10
WHEREAS, two seniors, Cody Addison and Kaylan Richardson, were selected for11
the 2A Academic All-State Team, and Addison was also selected for the 1st Team All-State12
and All-District; and13
WHEREAS, two sophomores, Jacob Drummond and Hunter Gebbia, were selected14
as members of Beta Club; and15
WHEREAS, Vincent Walker received a 2A All-State Honorable Mention and was16
named to the 2nd Team All-District; and17
WHEREAS, all members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence18 SCR NO. 90

throughout the basketball season, and each of these great players deserves recognition for1
his vital contributions to the winning effort; and2
WHEREAS, the team's outstanding season upholds the glorious tradition of the3
school, and all St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School alumni and fans4
recognize the immense pride and distinguished honor that the team brings to its school,5
community, and state.6
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby7
commend the St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School boys basketball team8
upon its memorable and historic achievement as the 2013 Louisiana High School Athletic9
Association Class 2A State Runner-up and does hereby extend best wishes to the players,10
coaches, and everyone involved with this fine basketball program as they celebrate their11
exceptional achievements and prepare for continued success in the future.12
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to St.13
Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School. 14
