SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 103

SENATE.  Designates May 15, 2013, as Louisiana Housing Council Day.
A RESOLUTION1
To designate May 15, 2013, as Louisiana Housing Council Day.2
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Housing Council is composed of over two hundred public3
housing entities across the state; and 4
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Housing Council promotes and advances decent, safe, and5
sanitary housing for low income persons in the state; and 6
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Housing Council fosters and promotes within Louisiana7
the programs sponsored by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment8
Officials; and9
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Housing Council encourages the common good and10
welfare of the municipalities, parishes, and state, and their inhabitants in providing decent,11
safe, and sanitary housing, thereby benefitting society by reducing the cause of crime, poor12
health, and blighted conditions.13
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana14
does hereby designate May 15, 2013, as Louisiana Housing Council Day.15
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the16
president of the Louisiana Housing Council.17 SR NO. 103
