SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 107

COMMENDATIONS. Commends the LSU gymnastics team and their coaches on an
outstanding 2013 season and for making it to the Super Six competition for the third time
in the last six years.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend the LSU gymnastics team and their coaches on its outstanding 2013 season2
and for making it to the Super Six competition for the third time in the last six years.3
WHEREAS, this year's LSU gymnastics team advanced to the NCAA Super Six4
competition for the third time in the last six years, joining the 2008 and 2009 teams; and5
WHEREAS, LSU finished the season fifth in the country, the second highest finish6
in school history; and7
WHEREAS, this team racked up ten NCAA All-American honors tying the school8
record set in 2006 and again in 2009; and9
WHEREAS, LSU won the NCAA Regional Title in Columbus, Ohio; and10
WHEREAS, the Tigers finished the season with 25 wins, including 10 postseason11
wins, the most since the 1990 squad won 11; and12
WHEREAS, this team tied the school record for the most 197 scores in a season,13
scored the third best score in school history and earned the highest finish at the SEC14
competition since 2005; and15
WHEREAS, LSU gymnasts Sarie Morrison, Llominica Hall and Rheagan Courville16
earned perfect 10.0 scores this season; and17

WHEREAS, Head Coach D-D Breaux received the Coach of the Year award at the1
NCAA Central Regional meet in Columbus, Ohio, and Associate Head Coach Jay Clark and2
Assistant Head Coach Bob Moore were shared Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year3
honors.4
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana5
hereby commends the LSU gymnastics team and their coaches on its outstanding 20136
season and for making it to the Super Six competition for the third time in the last six years.7
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Head8
Coach D-D Breaux.9
