SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 164

CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences upon the death of Christopher Jordan Ferguson.
A RESOLUTION1
To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the2
passing of Christopher Jordan Ferguson.3
WHEREAS, Christopher was born on March 13, 1991 to the parentage of Faye Perry4
Dillon and Cecil Ferguson Jr.; and5
WHEREAS, Christopher graduated from Grambling Elementary School, attended6
Ruston Junior High School, and graduated from Grambling High School where he was7
named Honorary Linebacker of the Year 2009; and8
WHEREAS, he attended Navarro College where he majored in Computer9
Information Systems and Brookhaven College majoring in Automotive Engineering; and10
WHEREAS, he accepted Christ at a young age at South Parkway Worship Center in11
Ruston and later attended Kingdom of God church in Dallas, TX; and 12
WHEREAS, Christopher avidly enjoyed music, philosophizing, fishing, hunting,13
playing football, baseball, and basketball; and14
WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his brothers Quaylin Larmonte Dillion and15
Cecil Ferguson III; and16
WHEREAS, he leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Faye Perry Dillon, his17
father, Cecil Ferguson Jr., Lizzie Ferguson, whom he affectionately calls his second mother,18 SR NO. 164

his sisters, Cosharie Houston, LaShaundrea Rene' Ferguson, and Angel Shantrel Prance, his1
brothers, Derrithe LaMar and J'Air Ibe Ferguson, his grandmothers, Lena B. Houston and2
Alverne Perry, along with a host of family and friends; and 3
WHEREAS, Christopher will be greatly missed and cherished forever. 4
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana5
does hereby express sincere condolences to the family of Christopher Jordan Ferguson and6
extends sympathy during their time of sorrow.7
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Mr.8
Cecil Ferguson Jr. and Ms. Faye Perry Dillon.9
