SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 88

SENATE. Recognizes May 6-12, 2013, as "Child Care Provider Appreciation Week in
Louisiana".
A RESOLUTION1
To recognize May 6-12, 2013, as "Child Care Provider Appreciation Week in Louisiana".2
WHEREAS, of the twenty million children under age five in America, over eleven3
million are in some form of child care setting; and4
WHEREAS, by calling attention to the importance of high quality child care services5
for all children and families within our state and communities, the Childcare Association of6
Louisiana hopes to improve the quality and availability of childcare services; and 7
WHEREAS, our future depends on the quality of the early childhood experiences8
provided to young children today; and9
WHEREAS, high quality early childcare services represent a worthy commitment10
to our children's future.11
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana12
does hereby recognize May 6-12, 2013 as "Child Care Provider Appreciation Week in13
Louisiana".14
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all citizens recognize child care providers for15
their important work in the area of early childhood education.16
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to T.17
