Abstract: Provides an exemption to the knowledge and skills testing requirements for Class
"A", "B", and "C" commercial driver's licenses.
Present law requires that applicants for Classes "A", "B", and "C" commercial driver's licenses
must correctly answer at least 80% of the questions on each knowledge test and successfully
perform all of the required skills on the skills test to achieve passing scores.
Proposed law provides an exception to the test requirements in present law.  Provides that the
knowledge and skills test requirements applicable to Class "A", "B", and "C" commercial driver's
licenses are waived if a driver possesses a valid military license and is regularly employed or was
regularly employed within the last 90 days in a military position requiring the operation of a
military motor vehicle that was representative of a commercial motor vehicle.
