Regular Session, 2014 HOUSE BILL NO. 1042 BY REPRESENTATIVE RITCHIE TAX COMMISSION, STATE: Extends authorization for the La. Tax Commission to levy and collect certain fees AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 47:1838(introductory paragraph), relative to fees levied by the2 Louisiana Tax Commission; to authorize the continued levy and collection of fees3 associated with the assessment of certain properties by the commission; to provide4 an effective date; and to provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 47:1838(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and reenacted7 to read as follows: 8 ยง1838. Fees9 The tax commission is hereby authorized on an interim basis for the period10 beginning on July 1, 2010 2014, and ending on June 30, 2014 2018, to levy and11 collect the following fees in connection with services performed by the commission:12 * * *13 Section 2. Proposed law retains present law and extends the authorization for the levy of fees through June 30, 2018. Effective July 1, 2014. (Amends R.S. 47:1838(intro. para.))
