APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Chad A. Trahan v. Progressive Security Insurance Company, Jamie
Linson, Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and State of Louisiana through
the DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Chad A. Trahan v.3
Progressive Security Insurance Company, Jamie Linson, Terrebonne Parish4
Consolidated Government and State of Louisiana through the Department of5
Transportation and Development"; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Twenty-Five Thousand and No/100 ($25,000.00) Dollars is8
hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-9
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Chad A. Trahan v.10
Progressive Security Insurance Company, Jamie Linson, Terrebonne Parish Consolidated11
Government and State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and12
Development", bearing Number 170118, Division "C", on the docket of the Thirty-Second13
Judicial District Court, parish of Terrebonne, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 17 HLS 14RS-2042 ORIGINAL
