Abstract: Prevents recovery of bodily injury damages and property damages arising from a
motor vehicle accident for an owner or operator who fails to maintain compulsory motor
vehicle liability security.
Present law provides that there is no recovery for the first $15,000 of bodily injury damage and
the first $25,000 of property damage arising out of a motor vehicle accident for an owner or
operator who fails to maintain compulsory motor vehicle liability security.
Proposed law provides that there is no recovery of either bodily injury damage or property
damage arising out of a motor vehicle accident for an owner or operator who fails to maintain
compulsory motor vehicle liability security.
