Hodges (HB 1105) Act No. 565 Existing law requires all of the following establishments to post information regarding the National Human Trafficking Resource Center hotline (hotline): (1)Every massage parlor, spa, or hotel that has been found to be a public nuisance for prostitution. (2)Every strip club or other sexually oriented business. (3)Every full-service fuel facility adjacent to an interstate highway or highway rest stop. Existing law requires that the poster read as follows: "If you or someone you know is being forced to engage in any activity and cannot leave, whether it is commercial sex, housework, farm work, or any other activity, call the National Human Trafficking Resource Center hotline at 1-888-373-7888 to access help and services." New law retains existing law and adds outpatient abortion facilities to the list of establishments required to post information about the hotline. New law requires DHH to provide the outpatient abortion facility with the notice required by new law and requires the department to post a sample of the notice on its website. Effective Aug. 1, 2014.
