Abstract: Allows the medical exemption for the area below the top six inches of a vehicle
windshield to apply if authorized by the requesting optometrist or physician.
Present law prohibits that any exemption granted pursuant to present law from applying to the
area below the top six inches of a motor vehicle windshield.
Proposed law allows the medical exemption to apply to the area below the top six inches of a
motor vehicle windshield if the optometrist or physician granting or requesting the medical
exemption specifically authorizes it.
