HOUSE BILL NO. 120

APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the State of Louisiana DOTD in the matter of "Calvin Lefrere, et al v. BNSF Railway
Company, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the State of Louisiana3
Department of Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Calvin Lefrere,4
et al v. BNSF Railway Company, et al"; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The sum of Six Thousand and No/100 ($6,000.00) Dollars is hereby7
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 to8
be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Calvin Lefrere, et al v. BNSF9
Railway Company, et al", bearing Number 2011-11075-J on the docket of the Fifteenth10
Judicial District Court, parish of Acadia, state of Louisiana.11
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor12
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,13
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 14 HLS 14RS-752	ORIGINAL
