Abstract: Exempts from seizure all firearms and firearm accessories owned by a debtor.
Present law provides general exemptions from seizure under any writ, mandate, or process  for
specified income or property of a debtor.
Present law includes the debtor's arms and military accoutrements in the list of properties exempt
from seizure.
Proposed law specifies that all of the debtor's firearms and accessories to those firearms are
exempt from seizure.
Present law provides an exemption from seizure of one firearm with a maximum value of $500.
Proposed law repeals present law.
(Amends R.S. 13:3881(A)(4)(c); Repeals R.S. 13:3881(A)(2)(e))
