APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Progressive Security Insurance Company as Subrogee of Quint Marceaux
v. State of Louisiana, through the DOTD, the Parish of Iberia and the City of New
Iberia"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Progressive Security3
Insurance Company as Subrogee of Quint Marceaux v. State of Louisiana, through4
the Department of Transportation and Development, the Parish of Iberia and the City5
of New Iberia"; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Fourteen Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and No/1008
($14,250.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of9
Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit10
entitled "Progressive Security Insurance Company as Subrogee of Quint Marceaux v. State11
of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development, the Parish of12
Iberia and the City of New Iberia", bearing Number 120366 "F" on the docket of the13
Sixteenth Judicial District Court, parish of Iberia, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 17 HLS 14RS-940 ORIGINAL
