CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES: Adds certain compounds to the Uniform Controlled
Dangerous Substances Law
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 40:964(Schedule II)(E)(3), (Schedule III)(B)(15), and (Schedule IV)(D)(13),2
relative to the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law; to add certain3
substances to Schedules II, III, and IV; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 40:964(Schedule II)(E)(3), (Schedule III)(B)(15), and (Schedule6
IV)(D)(13) are hereby enacted to read as follows: 7
ยง964.  Composition of schedules8
Schedules I, II, III, IV, and V shall, unless and until added to pursuant to R.S.9
40:962, consist of the following drugs or other substances, by whatever official10
name, common or usual name, chemical name, or brand name designated:11

E. Immediate precursors.  Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in15
another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains16
any quantity of the following substances:17

Abstract: Adds certain substances to Schedules II, III, and IV.
Present law provides for the designation of controlled dangerous substances into Schedules
I, II, III, IV, and V based upon the substances' potential for addiction and abuse.
Proposed law retains present law.
Proposed law adds 4-anilino-N-phenethyl-4-piperidine (ANPP) as an immediate precursor
to fentanyl to Schedule II.
