Regular Session, 2014 HOUSE BILL NO. 308 BY REPRESENTATIVE SEABAUGH CRIME: Increases the possible term of imprisonment for the crime of aggravated flight from an officer AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 14:108.1(E), relative to the crime of flight from an officer; to2 increase the possible term of imprisonment for the crime of aggravated flight from3 an officer; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 14:108.1(E) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง108.1. Flight from an officer; aggravated flight from an officer7 * * *8 E. Present law provides that any person who commits such offense may be fined not more than $2,000 and shall be imprisoned for not more than two years. Proposed law increases the possible term of imprisonment for the commission of aggravated flight from an officer from not more than two years to not more than 10 years. (Amends R.S. 14:108.1(E))
