Stokes HB No. 398 (KEYWORD, SUMMARY, AND DIGEST as amended by Senate committee amendments) PUBLIC LANDS/STATE: Provides for entering into a cooperative endeavor agreement or for leasing state property in Jefferson Parish DIGEST Authorizes entering into a cooperative endeavor agreement or a lease of certain state property in Jefferson Parish from the division of administration to the responsible offerer whose proposal received an award by the city of Kenner. Provides for the reservation of mineral rights to the state. Provides that in exchange of the consideration, the value of the property to be paid by Kenner to the state each year to be not less than seven and one-half percent of the appraised value. Requires the city of Kenner follow the applicable procedures for letting a contract by a request for proposals provided in present law and requires the city consult with the office of state purchasing. Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action. Summary of Amendments Adopted by Senate Committee Amendments Proposed by Senate Committee on Finance to the engrossed bill 1. Adds the option of entering into a cooperative endeavor agreement. 2. Changes the consideration of the value of the property to be paid by Kenner to the state each year from not less than seven percent of the appraised value to not less than seven and one-half percent of the appraised value.
