Abstract: Allows the disinterment of human remains from a cemetery space.
Present law provides that a deceased person's remains may be moved from one cemetery space to
another within the same cemetery or to another cemetery with the consent of the cemetery
authority and written consent of one of the following, in ranked order:
(1) The surviving spouse, if not divorced.
(2)The surviving adult children of the decedent.
(3)The surviving parents of the decedent.
(4)The surviving adult brothers and sisters of the decedent.
Present law provides that a final judgment of the appropriate district court is required if consent
cannot be obtained.
Proposed law retains present law. 
Proposed law adds that the deceased person's remains may be disinterred from a cemetery space
in the same manner as present law.
