APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the Department of Transportation and Development in the matter of "Rashad Oubre
& Maureen T. Oubre v. Christopher Webb and USAA Property & Casualty
Company and the State of Louisiana DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Rashad Oubre &3
Maureen T. Oubre v. Christopher Webb and USAA Property & Casualty Company4
and the State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and5
Development"; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Thirty-Three Thousand and No/100 ($33,000.00) Dollars is8
hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-9
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Rashad Oubre & Maureen10
T. Oubre v. Christopher Webb and USAA Property & Casualty Company and the State of11
Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Number12
2009-10072, Division "A", on the docket of the Twenty-Second Judicial District Court,13
parish of St. Tammany, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 17 HLS 14RS-474 ORIGINAL
