St. Germain (HB 537) Act No. 414
New law requires the office of motor vehicles to notify new residents upon the issuance of
a driver's license or a special identification card that an owner of a motor vehicle has 30 days
from the date of notification to pay such taxes before penalties and interest begin to accrue.
Effective August 1, 2014.
