AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 32:318(H), relative to audible and visual signals on certain2
vehicles; to allow all publicly owned fire department vehicles to be equipped with3
blue-colored electric lights; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 32:318(H) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6

H. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, all publicly-owned9
fire trucks with fire apparatuses fire department vehicles and publicly-owned10
ambulances may use blue colored blue-colored electric lights. The lights shall be on11
the rear of the vehicle and shall not exceed fifty percent of the visual lights. For the12
purposes of this Section, "fire truck" shall have the same meaning as provided for in13
R.S. 32:1252(18)(a).14
