Abstract: Removes from the definition of "local law enforcement body" the exemption of home
rule charter jurisdictions.
Present law provides that a "local law enforcement body" means any law enforcement body
seated in a jurisdiction that is not governed by a home rule charter and has the authority to write
civil or criminal traffic citations within that area and all the agents or contractors thereof.
Proposed law removes the exemption of home rule charter jurisdictions from the definition of
local law enforcement body in 	present law.

Committee Amendments Proposed by 	House Committee on Transportation, Highways and
Public Works to the original bill.
1. Removed from the definition of local law enforcement body the exemption of home
rule charter jurisdictions.
2. Removed requirement that court costs exceeding $25 and administrative fee be
forwarded to the state treasurer.
