APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "National Liability & Fire Insurance Company v. State of Louisiana
DOTD, and Stephen L. Jones, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "National Liability3
& Fire Insurance Company v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of4
Transportation and Development, and Stephen L. Jones, et al"; and to provide for5
related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Twenty-One Thousand Eighty-Three and 22/100 ($21,083.22)8
Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal9
Year 2014-2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "National10
Liability & Fire Insurance Company v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of11
Transportation and Development, and Stephen L. Jones, et al", bearing Number 129,688,12
Division "H", consolidated with 129701, 129728 and 129743, on the docket of the Twenty-13
First Judicial District Court, parish of Livingston, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 17 HLS 14RS-354 ORIGINAL
