Regular Session, 2014 HOUSE BILL NO. 631 BY REPRESENTATIVE ARNOLD TRANSPORTATION: Prohibits the issuance of moving violations to alleged violators through mail AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 32:398.1(D), relative to the issuance of traffic citations; to prohibit the2 issuance of moving violations through the mail; and to provide for related matters.3 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4 Section 1. R.S. 32:398.1(D) is hereby enacted to read as follows:5 ยง398.1. Traffic citations; form; issuance6 * * *7 D. It shall be unlawful for any municipal, parish or state traffic enforcement8 agency, official or employee thereof, or any officer to issue a moving violation to an9 alleged violator through the United States postal service.
