Existing law provides for the La. Health Care Commission. Existing law provides for its
functions, duties, and responsibilities.
Prior law provided for a nominee to the commission from the La. State Program of the
American Association of Retired Persons. New law changes the reference to AARP
Louisiana.
Prior law provided for a nominee to the commission from the American Association of
Retired Persons. New law changes the reference to AARP.
Prior law provided for a nominee to the commission from the La. Association of Insurance
and Financial Advisors. New law changes the reference to NAIFA La.
New law provides for Health Agents for America and Independent Insurance Agents &
Brokers of Louisiana to each nominate one member to the commission.
Prior law provided for a nominee to the commission from the La. Coalition for Maternal and
Infant Health. New law repeals prior law.
Effective Aug. 1, 2014.
