Adams (HB 830) Act No. 18
Prior law provided that all wine sold or shipped into this state shall be in certain sized
containers.
New law retains prior law and adds the following container sizes: 19-5/10 liters, 20 liters,
and 500 milliliters.
Prior law required that wines bottled subject to the standards provided for in prior law be
packed with a certain number of bottles per shipping case or shipping container and further
provided for the bottle size and the corresponding bottles per case.
New law retains prior law except that it changes all references from "bottles" to "containers"
and further changes a container size from five through 18 liters to five through 20 liters and
adds a container size of 500 milliliters with 12 bottles per case.
New law exempts cider products from container size restrictions.
Effective Aug. 1, 2014.
