Regular Session, 2014 HOUSE BILL NO. 901 BY REPRESENTATIVE HONORE MTR VEHICLE/WEIGHT REGS: Provides for a special annual permit for overweight vehicles transporting crane equipment AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 32:387(C)(7), relative to special permits for heavy equipment carriers, permit2 fees, and authority of the secretary; and to provide for related matters.3 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4 Section 1. R.S. 32:387(C)(7) is hereby enacted to read as follows:5 ยง387. Special permits6 * * *7 C.8 * * *9 (7) The secretary may issue a special overweight permit for the operation of10 vehicles transporting crane equipment not to exceed one hundred fifty-two thousand11 pounds with eight axles. The permit fee shall not exceed three thousand eight12 hundred dollars. The permit shall specify the roads and highways over which the13 vehicle may operate.
