AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 40:539(C)(8)(c), relative to employees of the Cottonport Housing Authority;2
to provide that employees of the Cottonport Housing Authority shall not be in the3
state civil service; and to provide for related matters.4
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published5
as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of6
Louisiana.7
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8
Section 1. R.S. 40:539(C)(8)(c) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 9

(c) Notwithstanding any provision of Subparagraph (a) of this Paragraph or17
of any other law to the contrary, the Cottonport Housing Authority shall not be18
considered to be an instrumentality of the state for purposes of Article X, Section19
1(A) of the Constitution of Louisiana, and employees of the authority shall not be20
included in the state civil service.21
