APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Maurianne Oliver v. Union Pacific Railroad Company, State of Louisiana
DOTD, Christina Winn, and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Maurianne Oliver3
v. Union Pacific Railroad Company, State of Louisiana, Department of4
Transportation and Development, Christina Winn, and State Farm Mutual5
Automobile Insurance Company"; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-Nine and 96/1008
($13,959.96) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana9
for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled10
"Maurianne Oliver v. Union Pacific Railroad Company, State of Louisiana, Department of11
Transportation and Development, Christina Winn, and State Farm Mutual Automobile12
Insurance Company", bearing Number 2010-002298 "E", on the docket of the Fourteenth13
Judicial District Court, parish of Calcasieu, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. The sum of One Thousand Forty and No/100 ($1,040.00) Dollars is15
hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-16
2015 to be paid to the Department of Health and Hospitals for Medicaid reimbursement in17
the suit entitled "Maurianne Oliver v. Union Pacific Railroad Company, State of Louisiana,18

Automobile Insurance Company", bearing Number 2010-002298 "E", on the docket of the1
Fourteenth Judicial District Court, parish of Calcasieu, state of Louisiana.2
Section 3. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor3
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,4
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 5
