Abstract: Extends the time to let public bids for construction of the Civil District Court for the
parish of Orleans from Aug. 15, 2014, to Aug. 15, 2015.
Present law terminates the authority to levy additional costs and charges if public bids are not let
for the construction of the new facility (Civil District Court for the parish of Orleans) by Aug. 15,
2014.
Present law provides for all funds collected and deposited in the separate account to be used
solely for capital improvements to the facility currently housing the Civil District Court for the
parish of Orleans.
Proposed law retains present law but extends the termination date from Aug. 15, 2014, to Aug.
15, 2015.
